Erin Ness: A Young Lady in the Poker World

Born in New Jersery in 1978, Erin Ness is one of those young people who have been proving their worth as poker professionals. It is not surprising that she is skillful in playing the game because she has been familiar with poker ever since she was young. And in college, her classmates at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. knew that she played approximately three poker games on a weekly basis.

Despite her love for poker, Erin Ness still pursued her studies until she obtained a bachelor's degree. She soon thereafter worked for "Maxim" magazine as a photo assistant. Up until now, this female professional poker player is still connected with "Maxim" magazine. What jumpstarted Erin Ness' career in the poker industry was her victory at a poker game that was conducted at the magazine company she has been working for. It paved the way for her to be able to participate in the World Series of Poker in 2004. She did not allow such an opportunity to pass, especially when "Maxim" volunteered to shoulder the expenses incurred in her participation in the said tournament.

Erin Ness only placed two hundred seventh in the main event of the said tournament, but she was nevertheless recognized as one of the highest placing women in the main event. In 2005, this female professional poker player once again participated in the World Series of Poker, wherein she joined a US$5,000 No Limit event. This time, she successfully emerged as the forty-sixth placer.

Erin Ness has started to become a television personality because of her numerous appearances on the television program "Poker Royale: Young Bloods." Such television program is aired on the Game Show Network. This female professional poker player has also become a member of a group of poker professionals who are affiliated with the Web site Team Poker Stars. The group is also called the Team Poker Stars.

Erin Ness does not have that much achievement yet as far as major poker tournaments are concerned because she has only participated in them a few times. Nevertheless, this female professional poker player has already been recognized as a young lady with so much talent. If only she would join more poker events, we definitely would be able to see her achieve more victories as well.

One thing that prevents Erin Ness from joining poker events more often is her work with "Maxim." Such work prevents her from further improving her poker skills. Furthermore, this female professional poker player has just experienced a promotion from being a photo assistant to being a photo editor. Well, despite the fact that she finds it hard to join more poker tournaments, she still is considered as a good player. And it only goes to show that she can excel in being a female professional poker player and photo editor.
